When you drive a car every day, some things can happen that could leave you stranded and looking for some help. Some of the things that can go wrong are not complete breakdowns but will require some help to get you back on the road.

Fuel Delivery

If you have ever run out of fuel on the road, you know how frustrating it can be. If your car is out of fuel and you do not have a gas can to get more, you may need to call a local towing company and see if they provide fuel delivery services.

While the cost you will pay for the fuel will be high due to delivery fees, it is often less than the cost of towing the car off the road to a fuel station. The tow company can bring out a few gallons of fuel, and if you need premium fuel or diesel, you need to let them know when you call to ensure you get the right fuel for your car.

If you are a member of a roadside assistance club, you may be able to get that fuel delivery without any charge, but you will need to call the company and let them arrange for the fuel delivery through one of their member providers.

Lockout Services

While locking your keys in the car is getting more difficult with modern cars and trucks, it can still happen. If you have locked your key inside your vehicle and there is no one around to bring you a spare key, you may need to call a towing company or locksmith to help you get access to your car.

When you call for assistance, you will need to provide some information about your car to the two services to determine if they can unlock the vehicle for you. Some new vehicles have security barriers in the door that make it nearly impossible to gain entry, but a service with a bump key set can often open it through the lock.

Another option is to have a locksmith make a key for you. Most of the time, all they need is the vehicle identification number to reproduce the key. The cost of replacement keys can vary by car type and the model year, but if the key has a computer chip, it can run upwards of a few hundred dollars.

The service is expensive, but you will get access to the car without damage to the door or lock, and the key is yours to keep, so you will always have a spare in case you get locked out again. For more information, contact a car lockout service.
